FREE!!! Cape Cod Children’s Place Family Roadshows andParenting Workshops and Support Groups:
Check out the current newsletter posted on our website for more detailed information. Moms & Babies - Moms and Babies group will not meet this summer. Check for further information. This drop in group provides support/education/fun and play for new moms, dads or caregivers and their babies. Call for information 508-240-3310 Dad's Talk : at Harwich Community Center, 100 Oak St. 6:00-7:30pm: This group meets the first Monday of each month. With Paul Melville, Family Support Specialist. A safe, non-therapeutic group providing an opportunity for dads of kids and teens to talk about the issues of being a father in today's world. Come gain support & share experiences & strategies to help you in the important job of being a father. Free pizza and child care with registration; 508-771-4338 or paul@capecoalition.com Grandparents: At this time there are no scheduled workshops. However, Cindy Horgan is available to give resources to support Grandparents. Call 508-240-3310 Parent Education Workshops: "Is My Child Ready for Kindergarten?" Join Cindy Horgan, Family Support Coordinator for Cape Cod Children's Place, and Kelly Barnatchez, Kindergarten teacher at Stony Brook Elementary, in a discussion about how to prepare your child socially and emotionally, as well as handle separation anxiety for a healthy transition into kindergarten.
